Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team lead on the administration of grants awarded to the University
Provide analytical oversight and fulfill compliance requirements
Perform post-award accounting for grants and contracts
Adhere to strict deadlines on invoicing, financial reporting, and related activities
Work closely with staff in other departments and stay abreast of new regulations and guidance from sponsoring agencies
Research and resolve problems related to grants and contracts administration
Ensure compliance with institutional policies and procedures
Effectively communicate information to faculty and staff related to grants and contracts activities
Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
Perform as a self-starter with high-level initiative, strong work ethic, and good organization skills
Utilize strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills to manage a high volume of e-mail in a deadline-driven environment

Required

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired

Ability to adhere to strict deadlines on invoicing, financial reporting, and other related activities
Ability to effectively communicate information to faculty and staff related to grants and contracts activities
Ability to perform as a self-starter with high-level initiative
Strong work ethic
Good organization skills
Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and manage a high volume of e-mail in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred

An accounting background
Familiarity with financial statements
