Responsibilities

Perform regular site inspections to ensure construction activities adhere to project plans, specifications, and healthcare regulations
Review and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and civil drawings to verify field installations
Monitor and report on workmanship and material quality across all trades
Verify that all work meets regulatory and safety standards, including Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA, and ADA compliance
Document non-conformances and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and subcontractors
Coordinate and oversight of material testing conducted by Owner's third-party consultants
Participate in commissioning and pre-functional testing of building systems
Maintain detailed inspection records, daily logs, and QA/QC reports
Coordinate with construction managers, engineers, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve quality issues
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and hospital-specific construction standards (e.g., ICRA โ€“ Infection Control Risk Assessment)
Assist in the development and enforcement of quality control procedures and checklists
Support punch list generation and project closeout processes

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of QA/QC experience on commercial construction projects; hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of healthcare construction requirements, codes, and regulatory agencies
Familiarity with construction materials, techniques, and best practices
Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management software
Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Possession of a valid state of residence driver's license with a clean driving record
Daily travel to and from construction sites, generally within 100 miles from the home office is expected
May be required to work protracted and irregular hours to meet client's needs, including nights, overtime and weekends

Preferred

Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field
Hospital or healthcare facility experience strongly preferred
Certification(s) such as ICC, ASQ, CQM-C, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction preferred
