Creative Marketing Specialist

South Shore YMCA is a community-focused organization committed to strengthening communities through their core values. The Creative Marketing Specialist will be responsible for producing high-quality creative content and managing marketing initiatives to elevate the YMCA brand and engage the community.

Non-profit Organization Management

Responsibilities

Design marketing materials for print and digital platforms (flyers, brochures, program guides, signage, social graphics)
Create engaging social media content, including graphics, videos, and stories
Develop email marketing templates and layouts, assist team in executing internal and promotional email campaigns
Produce event-related creative assets, including signage, banners, displays, and branded materials for community events, fundraisers, and special programs
Coordinate with vendors for commercial printing, ensuring accurate file preparation, color matching, and timely delivery of high-quality materials
Manage social media channels and implement strategies to grow engagement
Assist with website updates across three sites, landing pages, and posting blog/news content
Monitor analytics for social media, email, and web performance; provide insights and recommendations
Collaborate with the Senior Marketing Manager on seasonal campaigns and program launches
Coordinate photography and video shoots; edit and produce visual content
Create visual content for community events and fundraisers
Maintain marketing calendars and ensure timely delivery of assets
Uphold YMCA brand standards across all creative outputs
Review and edit materials for accuracy and consistency

Required

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
2-4 years of experience in marketing, design, or digital content creation
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva
Strong writing and editing skills
Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic SEO
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Video editing and photography experience
Knowledge of CMS platforms (WordPress preferred)
Understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights)
