Responsibilities

Perform Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification (IQOQPQ) of MSD instruments at customer sites

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on MSD instruments in the field

Troubleshoot issues and remotely assist customers via phone and email. Perform unscheduled maintenance if necessary

Review and understand instrument logs in order to determine root cause of failures and develop written POAs for follow-up visits

Assist with training new hires Assist in developing and delivering updated training packages as needed

Maintain documentation to include but not limited to procedural manuals/workflows and training manuals

Assist team members with more complex repairs. Serve as senior team member to review escalated cases

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for services rendered

Specific duties may vary depending upon departmental requirements

Required

Associate degree in an engineering discipline

Minimum 6 years of experience in field service

Experience in the life science drug discovery marketplace

Experience using basic hand tools and inspection equipment required

Working knowledge of instrument repair with a strong understanding of mechanical & electronic dynamics

Thorough knowledge of ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices

Logical problem solving and demonstrated ability to organize and move project tasks forward in an orderly and structured fashion

Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills. Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact schedules

Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple and often changing priorities and issues of varying complexity, while meeting time-sensitive deadlines and deliverables

Proficiency in Windows & MS Office

Ability to effectively organize schedule and plan efficient travel between customer locations

Ability to independently complete assignments with minimal supervision

A natural curiosity to investigate and fix problems with instrumentation

Preferred

Proficiency in Salesforce or other similar CRM systems is a plus
