Responsibilities
Provide excellent legal advice and counsel to a broad assortment of clients on a variety of topics with a particular emphasis on complex commercial transactions
Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts
Bring structure, uniformity and efficiency to the legal department’s transaction work
Develop best practices and procedures that will mitigate the company’s risk
Develop contract governance including playbooks and training material
Identify the need for legal support for business transactions and projects
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Law degree from an accredited law school and 2 years' experience in law
License to practice law in at least one state
You have demonstrated excellence drafting complex commercial transactions in a retail context
You have experience working on cross-functional teams to move projects forward by gaining support needed
You have a proven track record of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
You have excellent written and oral communication skills
You have demonstrated bias towards action and innovation
