Mid LevelNEOGOV is seeking a Crew Lead to supervise crew members in the maintenance and repair of streets and sidewalks. The role involves operating heavy equipment, leading maintenance/construction work, and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities
Leads and participates in maintenance/construction crew work
Operates various equipment in repairing, installing and maintaining streets and sidewalks
Works as a member of a crew when repairing or maintaining streets
Grades roads and drainage ditch banks
Performs landscaping duties
Mows rights-of way; patches utility cut ditches
Inspects equipment for proper operation and safety prior to operating
Makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
Assists in snow and ice removal and control
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED and moderate experience in operation of heavy motorized equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough knowledge of operating heavy construction equipment principles and practices
Thorough knowledge of the traffic laws and regulations governing equipment operation
Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards involved and the safety precautions necessary to the proper operation of varied construction and maintenance equipment
Skill in the use of equipment to which assigned
Ability to read grades and stakes
Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
Mechanical aptitude
Ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
Ability to supervise the work of crew members
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates
