Responsibilities

Collaborate with engineering teams to define and implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure
Support threat modeling, risk assessments, and architecture reviews for platform components
Develop automation tools for secure configuration management and continuous monitoring
Implement runtime security measures for containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes)
Design security controls for endpoints and applications, ensuring device compliance
Participate in security incident triage, investigation, and resolution
Contribute to internal documentation and promote security awareness within engineering teams
Engage in the security team’s on-call rotation to respond to security events

Required

5+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, DevSecOps, or infrastructure security roles
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and GCP) and their security services
Proficiency with Linux systems and core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Familiarity with container security practices using Docker and Kubernetes
Skilled in scripting languages like Python or Bash
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of secure authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML) and cryptographic key management
Experience with vulnerability scanning, compliance tooling, and security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, CIS Benchmarks)
Programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or JavaScript

Preferred

Security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, Google Cloud Security Professional, CISSP) are a plus
