University of Central Florida is home to WUCF, Central Florida’s trusted PBS station. They are seeking a Producer to contribute to the creation of content for the popular local program, Florida Road Trip, working closely with the Executive Producer.

Responsibilities

Shoot and edit on WUCF provided equipment
Research and pitch stories that align with content strategies and goals
Writes and edits scripts under deadline
Video edit content for broadcast and digital
Support production in the studio and the field
Collaborates with the team to create new programs and services to help further the WUCF mission and vision
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)

Preferred

Production experience in an internship or professional setting, including recording and editing
Experience with research and writing for film or television production
Familiarity with Adobe software systems
Experience in creating engaging digital content for various platforms
Experience conducting or assisting with research at the college level
