Start in 2026 SpringThe Western New York PGA is a group of approximately 250 PGA Professionals serving golfers across the region. They are seeking an intern to assist with tournament operations, marketing, and communication for various golf events.

Responsibilities
Assisting the WNYPGA Section & Foundation Staff with professional tournament administration/operations, as well as all aspects of marketing, promotion, and communication
Use critical thinking to solve problems and tackle tasks with minimal supervision
Interact courteously with WNYPGA Professionals and stakeholders
Assist with events during and after non-traditional work hours
Pre-tournament software setup and management
Assist staff with all onsite physical setup including but not limited to:
First tee
Registration
Tee markers
Cart staging
Scoring duties
Post-tournament breakdown and pack up
Create and post social media updates before, during, and after each event via all digital channels
Assist in the creation and execution of MailChimp eNewsletters
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Candidate must be self-motivated and punctual
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age with a Driver's License and access to a vehicle
Have an interest in communications, digital media, marketing, golf, or sports administration as a career
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds
Computer and social media literate
Prioritizing and executing duties in a fast-paced environment
Organized and extremely detail-oriented
Proficiency in writing, Google (G) Suite, and Canva
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to be flexible and work occasional nights or weekends
Preferred
Golf knowledge is a plus, but not required
