Responsibilities

Perform design coordination of seats and seat components

Coordinate between various customers and vendors

Interface with Program Manager on project development and design progress

Review customer requirements and specifications and relate them to product design

Monitor day-to-day design progress as required

Assure conformity of product and that engineering deadlines are met

Work and make decisions independently with little supervision

Required

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree (minimum of 12 years equivalent related engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree)

Or must have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Design Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical and Energy Engineering or a related engineering degree

plus an additional 3-5 years of related design experience required with Bachelors degree

plus an additional 4 years of related design experience required with Masters degree

Must have excellent drafting skills in CATIA V5 (or higher) and/or Pro/Engineer

Requires advanced knowledge of aircraft seat products

Must have good knowledge of materials and production processes, and mechanical knowledge of parts and stress conditions
