Responsibilities

Rapidly write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested production code with high % test coverage

Scope, design, and implement major fullstack features and technical architecture improvements with minimal supervision, driving projects from concept to deployment

Performance optimize and scale our critical integrations ecosystem, ensuring robustness, high availability, and efficiency under heavy load

Actively engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), contributing product design suggestions, refining testing strategies, and improving the CI/CD pipeline efficiency

Provide deep and insightful code reviews, acting as a force multiplier for the team by offering constructive feedback and mentoring less experienced engineers

Required

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a production software development setting, shipping high-traffic, customer-facing applications

Demonstrated polyglot capabilities with a strong preference for deep, hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails

Proficiency in both backend service development (APIs, business logic, database) and modern frontend frameworks, specifically React

Thorough knowledge of SQL and experience optimizing complex queries and schema designs in PostgreSQL

Commitment to deep and insightful code reviews that elevate the entire codebase

Non-negotiable practice of writing clean, documented, and well-tested code (unit, integration, and functional tests)

Ability to take complete ownership of features, from initial technical design documents through production deployment and monitoring

Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Preferred

Proven experience with performance optimization and scaling web applications to handle large user bases and transaction volumes

Direct experience integrating with complex external systems and APIs, especially the Microsoft Azure API

Experience with agentic software development methodologies and tools
