Automotive Sales & BDM Manager US
Confidential company is seeking a US Automotive Sales and BDM Manager to lead growth across the Automotive sector. This role involves owning strategic customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing a scalable commercial foundation in a competitive market.

Responsibilities
Develop and execute a growth strategy for Automotive accounts aligned with global business objectives
Build understanding of the automotive segment through ongoing market research and field activity, including:
1. Market sizing by application and customer type
2. Competitive supplier landscape
3. Qualification requirements (e.g. PPAP) and timelines
4. Pricing levels and margin expectations
Understand each customer's technical requirements, sourcing criteria, qualification processes, and approval structures across engineering, purchasing, supply chain, and quality functions
Identify and secure new business with existing and new customers through prospecting, structured account targeting, and stakeholder development
Position the company as differentiated supplier against competitors
Lead negotiations for pricing, long-term agreements, and technical scopes, coordinating across global and regional stakeholders
Drive disciplined pursuit management from initial opportunity stages
Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting through CRM tools, weekly opportunity reviews, and consistent communication of risks and upside
Support customer RFQ activity, quoting, lead-time and production capacity discussions
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of direct experience in the automotive industry, B2B manufacturing, or OEM commercial environments
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or related discipline
Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across engineering, purchasing, quality, and operations
Strong negotiation and selling skills: experience in prospecting, quoting, and closing profitable new business, including negotiating large contracts and long-term agreements
Ability to analyze incomplete or unclear data and translate it into practical sales and targeting decisions
Experience managing multi-site or multi-program accounts
Builder mindset - comfortable creating structure, establishing CRM discipline, and standardizing and improving processes
Comfortable with traveling up to 60% within the Americas region
Preferred
Experience working within a fast-paced startup type environment or global manufacturing organization strongly preferred
