Start in 2026 SummerGessner Engineering, LLC. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to support engineering teams in the drafting and design of project deliverables. The intern will collaborate with industry professionals, assist with project design, and gain hands-on experience in civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with a diverse group of industry professionals, from EITs to Senior PEs and PMs
Coordinate across internal disciplines like survey, structural, geotechnical, etc. and external sub consultants if necessary
Assist with design for a variety of projects including site plans, land development, and municipal infrastructure
Visit project sites to assist with data collection and construction observation duties
Manage time and workload effectively, including planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail
Work under the supervision and mentoring of civil engineers and designers. Accountable for the successful completion of engineering projects
Qualification
Required
Must be actively enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student working towards a Bachelor of Science or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals and groups
Be solutions minded. Always find a way to be part of the solution
Be collaborative. Must have a positive attitude, work well with co-workers and clients
Take initiative. Seek out every opportunity to do and to learn
Summer Interns are required to maintain consistent ability to work 35+ hours per week
Preferred
3.5 GPA or above
Experience with Microsoft Office, Civil 3D
