City Administrator
Lauber Municipal Law, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for the position of City Administrator for the City of Butler, MO. The City Administrator will act as the chief operating officer, implementing policies for sustainable growth while supporting the Mayor and City Council in achieving the City’s goals.
Responsibilities
Act as chief operating officer of the City
Champion the implementation of policies for sustainable growth
Act as chief administrative assistant to the Mayor
Work with the Mayor and City Council to define goals and performance objectives for the City
Qualification
Required
Knowledge Of: City Administration
Knowledge Of: Economic development and capital investments
Knowledge Of: Finance: budgets, investments, purchasing, and record keeping
Knowledge Of: Human resource management: Employee relations, hiring, terminations, training, benefit administration and salary administration
Knowledge Of: Land use: zoning, planning and economic development
Knowledge Of: Supervisory responsibilities
Ability to: Provide leadership
Ability to: Build teams across departments
Ability to: Communicate effectively and regularly
Ability to: Manage public meetings and committees
Ability to: Provide exceptional customer service, internally and externally
Minimum of five years of experience in local government
Bachelor's degree in public administration or related field (Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements.)
Proven experience with Finance and budgeting
Preferred
Preference is given to ICMA credentialed professionals
Preference is given for experience in zoning, planning and economic development
