Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships as the tax subject-matter expert
Attend client meetings and deliver customized tax planning strategies
Partner closely with financial advisors to support integrated tax planning
Lead tax client service teams for compliance and planning engagements
Review and sign federal & state tax returns (individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts & estates)
Oversee tax projections, audits, and complex research matters
Play an active role in onboarding new clients
Coach and develop team members through real-time feedback and mentorship
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
CPA, JD, or EA required
5+ years of experience with individual, partnership, fiduciary, estate & gift tax compliance
Strong knowledge of the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, and tax research
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel), Adobe Acrobat
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Excellent communication skills and comfort working with a highly collaborative team
Preferred
Master's in Taxation or JD preferred
Experience with CCH Axcess Tax, BNA Tax Planner, BNA Portfolios, RIA Checkpoint preferred
Experience with ADP, QuickBooks, and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus)
