Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day commissioning execution on hyperscale, mission-critical data center power projects
Serve as the on-site authority for all commissioning activities, managing 10–50+ engineers and technicians
Drive testing of UPS systems, DC power architectures, BESS, generators, switchgear, and control systems
Establish the site execution cadence, ensuring maximum equipment throughput and adherence to the critical path
Take charge of high-risk testing events, integration milestones, and system cutovers
Lead root cause analysis and complex troubleshooting of power and control system issues
Act as the primary interface with project management, customers, utilities, OEMs, and vendors
Ensure full compliance with grid interconnection requirements, safety standards, and site protocols
Own commissioning documentation, procedures, schedules, and final system sign-off
Train, mentor, and elevate junior engineers and field technicians
Qualification
Required
5+ years of direct electrical commissioning experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities
Deep, hands-on expertise with UPS systems and DC power infrastructure - testing, integration, and failure analysis
Strong background in power systems, BESS, control architecture, and SCADA integration
Proven ability to lead large site teams and maintain execution discipline under schedule pressure
Experience working directly with utilities, OEMs, and third-party commissioning agents
Comfortable operating in complex, high-availability environments where mistakes are not an option
Preferred
Safety certifications such as OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E strongly preferred
