Responsibilities
Designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs, modifies and documents new or existing applications using the OTS technology stack to conform to AppDM accepted standards, procedures and guidelines
Meets with users to determine project needs and provide system support
Evaluates user's request for changes to determine specific tasks and effects on existing programs and systems
Writes project, program, and system specifications
Develops software utilities as needed to increase productivity
Responds to computer system emergencies and resolves problems independently or in consultation with other Information Technology applications staff and/or end user personnel
Researches and resolves program, machine, data, or system software problems of a highly technical nature, frequently interacting with other employees, supervisors, or users
Prepares program specifications and test procedures
Prepares and supervises formal system test procedures of complex applications
Develops user guides, production documentation, and trains users
Performs all other tasks, special projects, analysis, studies, and plans as directed
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in information technology
Six years of full-time work experience in any field
An associate's degree in information technology
A bachelor's degree
A certification in an approved area may be substituted for the education and/or experience requirements at the time of hire or promotion, provided the appointment is made from a Certificate of Eligibles
