Millennium is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor responsible for overseeing all incoming and outgoing shipments and managing inventory. This role involves supervising the handling of packages, ensuring compliance with company standards, and coordinating with carriers and vendors to ensure efficient shipping and receiving processes.

Responsibilities

Oversee the receipt, inspection, and distribution of incoming shipments; ensure outgoing shipments are properly prepared, labeled, and scheduled for carrier pickup

Verify shipments against purchase orders, inspect for damage, and report any discrepancies or issues

Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory using tracking software; ensure proper storage and organization of items in designated areas

Supervise the tagging, logging, and secure storage of high-value equipment; ensure compliance with asset management protocols

Communicate with carriers and vendors to resolve delays, track lost shipments, and escalate claims for damaged or missing items

Provide guidance and support to shipping and receiving staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately

Identify opportunities to streamline shipping and receiving processes, improve efficiency, and reduce errors

Required

Familiarity with shipping and inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar tools) and mailroom or warehouse equipment

Strong precision in verifying shipments, tracking serial numbers, and ensuring compliance with company standards

Ability to lift and move packages or equipment up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Proven ability to supervise and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and manage workflows effectively

Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and carriers

Ability to troubleshoot issues related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, and logistics challenges
