The role involves supporting the planning, design, and preparation of contract documents for the construction of stormwater and utility infrastructure while managing utility aspects of various projects.

Responsibilities
Manage utility aspects of projects, oversee design and production of plans and specifications, and ensure that the work is produced on schedule profitably
Collaborate with project teams to analyze utility relocation conflicts on infrastructure projects
Review and provide feedback on Utility Owner design submittals
Coordinate utility design efforts with consultants and stakeholders
Perform constructability reviews to ensure compatibility with construction methods
Analyze projects and direct ASCE SUE investigations
Compile and compute a variety of engineering data
Prepare plans, and details and develop engineering drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables
Support and participate in the development and mentorship of staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
PE License in New Jersey and/or New York required, or ability to obtain within 6 months
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering design
Skilled with CAD/Design Software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3d, Inroads/Openroads)
MS Office proficiency
Experienced with ASCE standard governance of subsurface utility engineering
Experience with different construction techniques and constructability of utilities and associated civil aspects in design-build projects
Strong oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, data analysis & technical problem solving, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
Ability to travel to job sites
Work productively and meet deadlines timely
Ability to independently manage small to medium size projects
