Information Security Engineer
RCT Systems is committed to providing strong information security support to its clients. The Information Security Engineer will lead Certification & Accreditation activities, focusing on RMF execution and system security compliance throughout the system lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Run and manage the full A&A/RMF process, including greenlighting systems
Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs)
Conduct security scans, mitigate findings, and manage vulnerabilities
Perform security updates, patching (Windows/Linux), and configuration management
Support system configuration and deployment (e.g., laptops)
Guide systems through security approval processes
Advise stakeholders on improving security processes and architectures
Coordinate with Sponsor staff and technical management on operational effectiveness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in IT/cybersecurity (or equivalent experience)
Strong experience with RMF and INFOSEC policies and regulations
Experience with security documentation, repositories, and tracking tools
Knowledge of cyber threats and mitigations (malware, zero-day, DoS)
Strong communication, briefing, and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide senior-level technical guidance
TS/SCI with Polygraph
Preferred
Experience with the Sponsor's A&A process and project lifecycle
CISSP certification
Familiarity with the Sponsor's IT infrastructure, systems, and networks
