Responsibilities
Reconcile payroll bank accounts and withholding balance sheet accounts, including researching discrepancies and posting journal entries to clear open items
Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A to support requested journal entry reclasses and financial analysis
Prepare, post, and track payroll-related journal entries, including severance and employee bonus accruals
Process and post payroll tax entries and employee garnishments
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline payroll accounting processes and internal controls
Support year-end audit activities, including preparation of payroll-related footnotes and audit documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proven payroll accounting experience with a strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills
Clear and effective communicator with the ability to work transparently across teams
Collaborative professional who is comfortable making and owning critical accounting decisions
Preferred
CPA highly preferred
