Responsibilities
Financial Reporting Oversight: Lead the preparation and review of GAAP, STAT, and management financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
Regulatory Reporting: Oversee NAIC schedules and statutory filings, maintaining adherence to all regulatory requirements
Leadership & Team Development: Mentor and guide the reporting team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
Process & Controls: Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with strong internal controls, documentation, and audit readiness
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Controllers, and FP&A to deliver cohesive, data-driven reporting and analysis
Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to optimize reporting systems, streamline consolidation, and enhance automation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required
8+ years in financial reporting, consolidation, and statutory reporting within the insurance or financial services industry
Advanced Excel, SAP, and data visualization (MicroStrategy or similar) proficiency, with experience in large-scale consolidation and reporting systems
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, STAT, NAIC, and management reporting standards
Strategic, detail-oriented leader with strong communication, analytical, and presentation skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred
CPA strongly preferred
Familiarity in tax and regulatory frameworks preferred
