Staff Scientist - Biology

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Staff Scientist position in the laboratory of Kevin Cox. The role involves investigating the transcriptional regulation of cell-to-cell communication in plant stress response, designing research protocols, and leading independent projects from experiment design to publication of results.

Responsibilities

Following instructions and discussions with the principal investigator, designs research protocols, including developing procedures for the collection, verification and management of data
Assists other lab members in designing, performing, and analyzing transcriptomic data with their projects
Leads independent projects from designing experiments to publication of results
Conducts literature searches related to research project
Performs other duties as assigned

Master's degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
