Responsibilities
This position also supports evaluation and development of new business opportunities, including the selection and preliminary assessment of natural gas pre-treatment, liquefaction processes, and supporting facilities. Responsibilities include evaluation of LNG compression and driver concepts, storage, export systems, and LNG shipping considerations
The Senior Process Engineer provides expert process engineering support for activities such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL/LOPA, and other process safety studies across multiple project phases
Provide process engineering support and technical assurance across the full project lifecycle, including EPC, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations
Coordinate with multi-discipline teams and manage engineering contractor deliverables
Support regulatory and environmental teams with technical input for permitting and resource reports
Participate in process safety activities including HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, facility siting studies, and pre-start-up safety reviews
Develop and review process simulations using Aspen HYSYS to support project design
Develop process design basis and project design specifications
Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes and standards (e.g., API, NFPA)
Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of fluid flow, heat transfer, mass transfer, thermodynamics, and hydrocarbon process chemistry
Experience with LNG process engineering, gas processing, and cryogenic systems
Solid understanding of process safety principles and hazard analysis techniques
Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Proficiency with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS and UniSim
Familiarity with current LNG technologies in design and construction
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (required)
Minimum 7 years of process engineering experience in LNG or similar industries
Preferred
Master's Degree and Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred)
