Payroll Implementation Consultant
VCS HR is a fast-growing technology company with a dynamic, collaborative culture. They are seeking a Payroll Implementation Consultant to partner with internal teams and external clients to implement, configure, and launch payroll solutions within their HR systems.
Responsibilities
Lead payroll implementations from discovery through go-live for internal teams and external clients
Configure payroll systems, earning codes, deductions, taxes, and integrations
Partner with clients to understand requirements and translate them into system solutions
Support UAT, parallel testing, and issue resolution during implementation
Collaborate with HRIS, benefits, finance, and technical teams to ensure smooth launches
Document processes, configurations, and implementation best practices
Provide post-go-live support and optimization recommendations
Act as a trusted implementation partner for clients and internal stakeholders
Qualification
Required
2–5 years of experience in payroll, HRIS, HCM, or systems implementation
Experience configuring HR or payroll systems (implementation or optimization)
Client-facing or stakeholder partnership experience
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Comfortable managing multiple implementations or projects simultaneously
Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Preferred
Payroll platform implementation experience (ADP, UKG, Workday, Paychex, etc.)
Benefits or time & attendance system exposure
Implementation, consulting, or professional services background
