Administrative Specialist I - Marion Correctional Institution
The N.C. Department of Information Technology is responsible for safeguarding and preserving lives and property through various operations. They are seeking an Administrative Specialist I to maintain medical records and provide administrative support at the Marion Correctional Institution.
Information Technology & Services
Responsibilities
Maintaining medical records, documents and materials
Verifying data, summarizing information
Create and maintain spreadsheets to track specific information
Maintain records filing according to policy
Ordering supplies and materials
Provide excellent customer service to medical providers, the public and facility staff
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
General knowledge of medical office practices and procedures to review, verify, complete, record, and/or balance records, reports, and figures
Ability to maintain medical records in a confidential manner and perform duties according to policy and procedures
Ability to provide excellent customer service to medical providers, the public and facility staff
Ability to maintain records filing according to policy
Ability to order supplies and materials
Preferred
Demonstrated experience performing administrative functions in an office setting
Demonstrated ability to operate office equipment/computers
Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidential information
Demonstrated experience in organization, retention, review and filing of records
Demonstrate knowledge medical terminology
