Responsibilities
Influence development solutions and best practices for the Software Engineering team
Implement features and user interfaces for multiple Sunbelt Rentals digital products
Act as the technical lead in project workstreams
Work closely with design, product strategy, and subject matter experts in various areas of the business to listen, research, and develop right-sized solutions
Develop code, assist engineers across disciplines in the tech stack, size work effort estimates, and project planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant engineering field or equivalent work experience
5+ years of relevant object-oriented application building experience in a professional environment
3+ years of recent experience as a build and deployment engineer using industry standard tools
5+ years of experience setting up and configuring build servers and build agents
3+ years of direct experience and proven success in Cloud (Amazon/Azure) technologies providing design, support and management within a large-scale organization
Relational databases such as SQL Server, MSSQL, MySQL or similar technologies
Coding skill in C#, Node.js, React and JavaScript frameworks
Jenkins and other build/deploy tools
Container technology, like Docker, Kubernetes and the growing ecosystem
Working closely with Git
Test automation and test-driven development and behavior-driven development
Virtual application delivery technologies and virtual desktop infrastructures
Industry standard system architecture and system management tools
Supporting and documenting build and configuration changes throughout environments
Agile/Scrum development cycle environment
