Responsibilities
Firm-Wide Financial Leadership
Own financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
Collaborate with HR for benefit analysis and management
Partner directly with senior bankers and business stakeholders on strategic, operational, and growth-related decisions
Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and financial insights to support leadership decision-making
Accounting, Reporting & Controls
Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Drive a monthly close process with a target close timeline of 10 days post month-end
Manage accounting operations, including revenue recognition, expense management, and deal-level tracking
Establish and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures appropriate for a scaling investment bank
Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting firms
Partner with leadership on banker compensation modeling, incentive structures, and profitability analysis
Track transaction economics, pipeline visibility, and revenue realization
Build and lead the finance organization as the firm grows (people, systems, processes)
Evaluate and implement financial systems and tools to support scale and complexity
Ensure the firm is prepared for future growth, governance, and strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
6+ years of finance and accounting experience
Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred, ideally with exposure to financial services or professional services
Subsequent experience in investment banking, advisory, professional services, or a similar environment is a plus
Strong technical foundation paired with sound commercial judgment
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating as a player/coach in a lean environment while thinking strategically
