Responsibilities
Directly manage and develop the Quality Assurance team
Hire, train, assign work, and conduct performance reviews
Promote a strong safety, quality, and continuous improvement culture
Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and objectives aligned with company goals
Lead inspection, testing, and evaluation activities across steel pipe manufacturing operations
Review MTRs and incoming materials to verify metallurgy, dimensions, and compliance
Ensure compliance with AWWA C-200, ASME codes, and applicable quality standards
Investigate customer quality complaints and drive corrective and preventive actions
Train and lead QA personnel, ensuring consistent application of quality processes
Communicate quality issues, trends, and improvements to senior management
Support continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methods
Qualification
Required
NDE procedures
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Materials, Welding, or Mechanical Engineering
Strong knowledge of welding processes, NDE methods, and inspection techniques
Experience with AWWA, ASME, and steel or piping industry standards
Preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
or equivalent problem-solving experience
