Responsibilities

Uphold Hydrite Chemical’s Mission and Vision through strong internal and customer focus
Respond promptly to customer and account manager needs based on established priorities
Quote, specify, and execute assigned projects, preventative maintenance, and service requests, including installations, commissioning, upgrades, and startup support
Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot water and wastewater treatment systems and feed equipment, including plumbing, controllers, and polymer dilution systems
Support system startups, plant surveys, product trials, and post-startup verification
Conduct plant surveys to identify customer and prospect needs and recommend best-fit treatment solutions
Serve as a technical resource to customers, Field Service staff, and sales teams through training, troubleshooting, and onsite support
Troubleshoot equipment and treatment programs, implement corrective actions, and optimize system performance
Identify new opportunities and support long-term business growth through technical insight
Manage personal project lists, time, materials, tools, and equipment
Work independently in the field while collaborating with internal teams
Prepare clear, timely service reports, proposals, and documentation in accordance with SOPs
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and other responsibilities as assigned

Required

Strong mechanical aptitude
Practical field experience
Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Frequent travel, including overnight stays, throughout the Midwest region spanning from Iowa and Missouri to Ohio and Pennsylvania
Communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Extensive travel and frequent overnight stays
Driving or riding in an auto, or aircraft, from 3 to 6 hours at a time
Standing for extended periods of 3 to 4 hours
Frequent 12 to 16 hour workdays may be required because of travel and customer commitments
Frequent lifting of 25 to 50 pounds
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Frequent turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
3-5 years related field experience
Identifying and writing project scopes
Specifying equipment
Partnering on equipment implementation and installation
Starting up of field devices
Provide internal and customer training
