Customer Service Representative (Shipping/Receiving)
Astrix is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work in a warehouse setting within the chemical industry. The role involves processing orders, managing customer inquiries, and overseeing shipments while providing technical support as needed.

Responsibilities
Answer phones
Take & process orders
Confirm shipping address & PO #
Confirm pricing & delivery date
Review customer AR and make collection calls as necessary
Complete bill of lading
Send confirmation to customer (ie: ship date, tracking #, etc.)
Invoice all shipped orders
Coordinate UPS shipments
Manage certain blanket orders
Manage price corrections/updates for domestic customers
Update Goldmine & Customer database as necessary
Process sample requests
Respond to MSDS requests
Manage quote requests
Oversee all equipment orders and technical support
Update Dispenser, shuttles and die central system leasing and equipment retrieval if needed
Oversee all outgoing shipments
Change back up tape for our server
Quote LTL ,Volume, and bulk shipments
Approve all customer related freight bills
Meet with freight reps
Advise sales reps on accounts. (Monica, Angel, and Angela)
Oversee Warehousing in California and Canada
Enter RMA’s for all returned equipment or products
Provide technical support to customer calls on minor topics
Weekly sales report for Monica
Verify & Enter vendor/supplier invoices
Get appropriate approvals and account distributions for AP invoices
File open AP invoices for payment
File paid vendor/supplier invoices
Close all orders for Month end
Set up all requirements for trials
All other reports requested by Sales Reps or Management
E-mail Monthly Sales Report to each sales rep
E-mail detailed Sales Report for each sales rep. to Rodney
E-mail Monthly Sales Report (converted into lbs) for Jack for all products sold each month
E-mail current domestic AR report to each sales rep
Maintain domestic AR/Collections & make calls as necessary
All other reports requested by Sales Reps or Management
Qualification
Required
Experience in customer service within a warehouse setting
Ability to process orders and manage shipping logistics
Strong communication skills for answering phones and taking orders
Familiarity with confirming shipping addresses and purchase orders
Experience in reviewing customer accounts receivable and making collection calls
Ability to complete bills of lading and send confirmations to customers
Experience in invoicing shipped orders and coordinating UPS shipments
Ability to manage blanket orders and price corrections for domestic customers
Proficiency in updating customer databases and processing sample requests
Ability to respond to MSDS requests and manage quote requests
Experience in overseeing equipment orders and providing technical support
Ability to oversee outgoing shipments and manage server backups
Experience in quoting LTL, volume, and bulk shipments
Ability to approve customer-related freight bills and meet with freight representatives
Experience in advising sales representatives on accounts
Ability to oversee warehousing operations in California and Canada
Experience in entering RMAs for returned equipment or products
Ability to provide technical support on minor topics
Experience in preparing weekly sales reports
Ability to verify and enter vendor/supplier invoices
Experience in filing open and paid AP invoices
Ability to close all orders for month-end and set up requirements for trials
Experience in generating and emailing monthly sales reports and AR reports
