Responsibilities

Perform all field and other related work required to service each of the company’s customers and to help the business grow by performing the following duties personally
Removal of exotic nuisance/invasive vegetation along designated areas
Assist the Wetland's Contractor with special projects, as needed
Coordinate with team leader to ensure all services are completed on schedule
Work with team leader to ensure the highest quality service is provided efficiently to increase the number of billable hours performed per day
Service customer’s wetlands, natural areas and littoral areas as required to provide superior quality and service in the fulfillment of all company contracts, service orders, and other related customer needs
Work with team to control, remove, or kill undesirable or exotic vegetation from preserves, wetlands or other natural areas to keep our clients in compliance with regulations or enhancing the esthetic value of these areas
The work performed is heavy manual labor and / or applying herbicides to control weeds in a wet environment
Wildlife encounters will be part of the job experience as is wading out into lakes and wetlands, so workers in this position must be comfortable performing work in that environment

Required

High School Diploma
1-2 years' experience in an environmental related field helpful
Possesses or has the ability to obtain a state pesticide license
Aptitude in using various hand tools
Ability to follow established procedures and practices
Commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Effective verbal and listening communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Mechanically inclined
The work requires strenuous physical exertion and the employee may be required to drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time, as well as see, talk, hear and use hands and arms to grasp, handle, reach and feel. Must be able to swim
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in a repetitive manner
Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
