They are seeking an experienced Sr. Test Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team, where the role involves designing test tools and processes, executing assembly and test procedures for spacecraft, and troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

Work with production scheduling and various engineering teams to bring a test system design from design phase to product testing

Work hand in hand with EGSE build team to bring test systems to production testing

Draw EGSE harnessing and test system diagrams for production testing (Visio, SolidWorks, etc.)

Plan and write automated testing programs at both the module and vehicle level

Work with design engineers to debug, test, and implement changes to hardware

Write, review, and execute qualification and acceptance test plans

Develop and refine manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned to mature status

Support Software Regression testing on modules and complete systems

Support test systems for environmental testing with thermal chambers, vibration tables, and thermal vacuum chambers

Working in a cleanroom on flight hardware for extended periods

Occasional travel off-site for testing and integration at customer facilities

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline

5+ years of experience (internship time is counted) as a test or manufacturing engineer supporting highly integrated cross-disciplinary assembly operations

U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance

Preferred

Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline

Experience with build integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and structural systems, including, but not limited to, vibration, shock, thermal, vacuum, and radiation testing

5+ years of experience in test system design (Electrical & Mechanical)

5+ years of experience in harness manufacturing and design

Familiarity with PXI architecture

Familiarity with PCI/PCIe architecture

Knowledge of test instrumentations (i.e. thermocouples, thermal chambers, accelerometers, DAQs, NI Chassis, etc.)

Documentation and configuration management experience

Experience writing test plans and procedures and providing go/no-go judgment

Experience in a production environment within the aerospace industry

Experience working in a laboratory setting, particularly a cleanroom with ESD precautions

Experience with electrical debugging of PCB Assemblies, including the ability to read electrical schematics

Programming in Python, LabVIEW, bash/shell script, or C
