Peerless Pump Company, a subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking an EHS Intern to join its Part Time Intern Program in the Environmental, Health and Safety Team. The EHS ISO Intern will provide support in the administration of environmental, health & safety programs with a focus on ISO14001 and ISO45001 conformance.

Responsibilities

Administrative support will include file management, data entry, recordkeeping, report writing, performing inspections, and conducting research in the following:

OSHA, EPA, state, and local regulations

ISO 14001 & 45001 EHS system management

Environmental permits

EHS training program development

Safety hazard and environmental risk assessments

EHS plans, procedures, or work instructions

Chemical inventory and data management

Sustainability monitoring and measuring

Required

Currently pursuing an academic degree in a major related to occupational safety & health, sustainability, or environmental sciences (or related) from an accredited university

Proficient in MS products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal teams and external partners

Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision

Positive attitude, an ability to work with multiple people, and the ability to work in a self-directed/self-driven manner to accomplish assigned tasks

Strong written, oral communication skills, and an attention to detail

Regular and reliable attendance as assigned

Ability to focus on task completion, while maintaining flexibility to move from task-to-task as new information is received

Strong organizational skills and an ability to develop a visual organization system
