Automation & Controls Install Technician III
McKenney's, Inc. is the Southeast’s trusted name in facility construction and maintenance. They are seeking an Automation & Controls Install Technician III to lead teams in developing and commissioning building control systems while ensuring adherence to installation standards and best practices.

Responsibilities
Lead and assist teams of installers in developing, building, testing, and commissioning building control systems
Uphold controls installation standards and best practices for current systems and methods
In-depth level understanding of all mechanical systems in the buildings we serve
Provide job leadership to other install team members and lead the installation efforts on jobs
Diagnose and repair controls systems malfunctions
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, control drawings, and mechanical drawings
Expertise in network layout, communication wiring and troubleshooting, panel building and wiring, safety interlocks, and VFD wiring
Respond to BAS emergencies during off-hours if necessary
Prepare documentation and reports on work status and completion
Must complete Pathway and pass performance checkout, as well as hold the role for a minimum of 18 months, until you can progress to Senior Controls Install Tech
Qualification
Required
At least 5 years of experience working in an installation-type role for a systems manufacturer or authorized systems representative/supplier/vendor on communicating or networked electronic systems
Experienced knowledge of controls installation standards and methods, electronics, logic, and systems design for various system types, including Pneumatic, Electric/Electronic, Digital, and Analog, and Direct Digital Control (DDC)
Must have basic PC experience in Windows environments and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, web-enabled applications, and database software
Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and schematics
High School diploma

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent certification
