Manufacturing Engineer - Fabrication

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to troubleshoot and Lead Root Cause analysis of equipment breakdowns. Liaison with internal maintenance and engineering and OEM service to expedite repairs and minimize downtime
Provide Manufacturing Engineering (Fabrication) leadership for production support and continuous improvement teams
Support specification, installation, and startup of new fabrication equipment
Ensure that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process
Program CNC Equipment
Solicit feedback from both internal and external customers for process, quality, and safety improvements and lead or support implementation efforts

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related
1-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environment
Understanding of integrated manufacturing systems
Understanding of Fluid Power Systems (hydraulic and pneumatic)
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and proactively create contingency plans
Must be able to work with sense of urgency and under pressure

Preferred

Understanding of equipment safety, functional safety, and risk assessment and safety validation process
Understanding of PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot
Understanding of robotic systems (Fanuc Preferred)
Basic understanding of electrical concepts and controls
Experience with sheet metal fabrication
