Mechanical Engineer I
Nordson Packaging, a global leader in Packaging, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join their team. The Mechanical Engineer I is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of lab tests in support of product development activities, while acquiring product and application knowledge for future roles.

Responsibilities
Conducts tests that allow the engineering team to make a decision as to which designs best meet customer’s needs
Test Planning: Proposes test plans, including but not limited to the identification of: components, layouts, procedures, and instrumentation
Test Execution: Assembles the test setup and conducts the test. Records and compiles all test data. Able to efficiently identify and organize pertinent data to draw conclusions against the test objective. Critically evaluates product performance, including results that may not been anticipated
Test Reporting: Demonstrates excellent communication skills; succinctly explains results such that the design team can quickly understand and act on the findings
Performs other duties as assigned in support of product development activities
Ability to work in a lab environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
Skilled in test set-up, testing, instrumentation and data acquisition
Self starter
Enjoys problem solving
Enjoys teamwork
Mechanically inclined
