Logan Simpson is an award-winning, multidisciplinary consulting firm seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. The role involves maintaining project databases, preparing billings, and collaborating with project managers on financial matters.

Environmental Services

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain projects in database

Maintains project billing schedules and budget information

Prepares complex project billings and supplementary information

Performs accounts receivable collections, as requested, and manages work in process billings

Works closely with project managers to review contracts, project costs, budgets, and schedules

Assists with month-end bookkeeping duties, as required

Assists with other clerical tasks, as requested

Demonstrates accurate judgment about the applicability of project cost accounting, federal cost accounting standards, and federal/state payroll and payroll tax regulations to numerous accounting situations

Required

2+ years of related accounting experience plus a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Proficiency in Excel

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet deadlines

Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a desire to work both independently and in a team environment

Ability to work in the office 3 days per week on average
