Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a high-performing E&S Casualty underwriting team
Partner directly with wholesale brokers—via phone, virtually, and in-person—to drive submissions and convert on top opportunities
Underwrite a diverse mix of risks across multiple industry segments, including manufacturing, distribution, construction, real estate, retail, mercantile, habitational, and hospitality
Manage both primary and supported excess casualty products, ensuring tailored solutions that meet broker and client needs
Qualification
Required
10+ years of E&S Casualty underwriting experience across diverse industry segments
3+ years of underwriting leadership experience
Strong relationships with wholesale E&S brokers
Proven ability to structure unique risks, complex programs, and deliver tailored solutions
Advanced portfolio management and data analysis skills
Intellectual curiosity and the confidence to innovate from a 'blank sheet'
Strong communication skills to articulate Ledgebrook's value proposition
A customer-focused mindset and agile prioritization skills
Entrepreneurial drive and passion for building high-performing teams
Ability to travel independently for broker meetings, conferences, and industry events
Preferred
Experience in MGA or delegated authority environments is a plus
