Elliott Aviation, a leader in aircraft solutions, is seeking a Soft Goods Crew Chief at their corporate headquarters in Moline, IL. This hands-on role is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned aircraft projects, ensuring compliance and quality performance, and overseeing project documentation.

Responsibilities

Accept full ownership of assigned projects from pre-planning to delivery of aircraft projects

Manage projects by scheduling and assigning work for team members and monitoring day-to-day activities of team members for compliance and quality performance

Oversee, complete, and maintain accurate & timely aircraft and project documentation

Inspect the seats, interior trim/panels for function, damage and quality from beginning of the project to installation to the completion

Support, maintain, and comply with all environmental, health, safety, federal, OSHA, state and local regulations

Assist in professional and on job training for all team members, keeping updated records of training requirements met and needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to attain and retain AOA badge or Airport requirements

Must possess minimum tooling required to perform duties assigned

Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145

Five plus years Aircraft seat refurbishment experience necessary

Previous leadership role and supervisory experience necessary

Willingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanor

Ability to communicate well in straightforward situations

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment

Excellent workmanship aptitude and a desire to initiate improvements

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

Preferred

Cabinetry, Finish, or Paint experience preferred
