Responsibilities

Reviewing and approving CDK pull requests that add new cloud infrastructure

Collaborating with backend engineers to optimize system performance

Building a new GitHub Actions workflow to run database migrations safely in production

Leading an incident post-mortem and turning findings into automated guardrails

Debugging problems with the CI pipeline

Qualification

Required

7+ years in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering roles

4+ years hands-on with AWS at scale (Lambda, ECS, Aurora, CloudFront, VPC, SQS, SNS, etc.)

Proven track record building and maintaining infrastructure entirely as code using AWS CDK

Deep experience with serverless architectures and event-driven systems

Experience supporting Node.js applications in production

High-level AWS knowledge

Mastery of GitHub Actions

Observability stack: CloudWatch, New Relic

Security & compliance best practices (IAM, SCPs, Secrets Manager, WAF, GuardDuty, SOC2/PCI experience a plus)

Database performance tuning for PostgreSQL on Aurora

Cost optimization and capacity planning for serverless workloads

AWS (Lambda, CDK, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, CloudFront, SQS, SNS, Apollo GQL)

TypeScript and Node.js

GitHub & GitHub Actions

New Relic, or similar observability tools
