Analytical Project Manager I / II
PSI Federal Civilian Sector is seeking an Analytical Project Manager to support Navarro-ATL in Richland, WA. The role involves managing analytical projects, ensuring quality deliverables, and serving as the point of contact for clients regarding sample analysis requirements.

Responsibilities
Effectively managing analytical projects from initiation through closeout to meet or exceed customer needs/ requirements
Supporting clients with project work requests to ensure they are consistent with laboratory capabilities
Performing technical reviews of analytical results from radiochemistry, inorganic, and organic analyses
Authoring technical laboratory reports and serving as customer's point of contact for questions about sample analysis requirements for assigned projects
Monitoring the status of projects and ensuring the quality and timelines of all deliverables
Assuming technical responsibility for analytical projects
Cooperating with other project managers performing related phases of the technical work
Collaborating with Chemists to develop a solid understanding of the analytical processes and procedures performed at the 222-S Laboratory
Reviewing analytical data for completeness and technical validity, interacting with chemists to resolve data review questions, authoring project reports, and assisting in sample management
Coordinating analyses of customer samples, including monitoring of quality requirements, to meet project deliverables
Preparing informational packages describing analytical work scope and distributing them to analytical work groups
Preparing and giving kick-off project presentations to analytical operations staff for assigned projects
Overseeing the coordination of sample shipments to off-site laboratories
Tracking samples through the analytical process at the laboratory, including final disposition
Coordinating proper electronic storage of data deliverables in the project file and overseeing the upload of electronic deliverables to the customer's data
Coordinating disposition of samples using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and interfacing with sample custodians for sample disposal activities at the end of the analytical project cycle
Contacting customers to arrange sample returns, as needed
Proactively serving customers by ensuring project due dates, schedule, and quality commitments are met
Functioning as technical authority for administrative and/or technical procedures, as assigned
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualification
Required
BS in Chemistry or other scientific discipline and 7 years related experience
Strong knowledge of organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, and radiochemistry along with significant applicable lab experience
Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (particularly Word and Excel)
Excellent communication/interpersonal, organizational, and client relation skills
Experience with writing technical reports
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage several projects simultaneously
Commitment to analytical excellence and unwavering ethics
Ability to collaborate with a high-performing work team and support other projects upon short notice
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills that focus on quality
