Responsibilities

Design and implement Agentic Bioinformatics systems that help scientists understand RNA-seq results

Interrogate the raw RNA-seq results and connect observations to existing research literature

Generate concrete hypotheses and next-step experimental designs

Surface key biological signals and identify likely failure modes

Suggest better experimental paths to save researchers time and accelerate discoveries

Qualification

Required

BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, or relevant work experience

5+ years of software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python

Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-based systems in production

Experience building LLM-based systems that integrate structured data, tool-based reasoning, and stateful agent workflows (e.g., tool-calling, iterative analysis loops, evidence-grounded generation)

Strong systems thinking: ability to design reliable pipelines, APIs, and evaluation frameworks

Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally with bioinformatics, product, and lab teams

Preferred

Familiarity with RNA-seq or bioinformatics concepts (DEGs, normalization, pathway analysis) or demonstrated ability to quickly learn scientific domains
