Responsibilities

Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other project documents

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, utilities, and roadway items using company software

Assist in organizing bid documents and maintaining project files

Input and update data into estimating and takeoff software (HCSS, Agtek, Bluebeam)

Coordinate with estimators to verify quantities, material requirements, and subcontractor inputs

Support the gathering and organization of supplier and subcontractor quotes

Help maintain standardized takeoff templates and historical quantity databases

Learn and apply estimating principles under the guidance of senior estimators

Required

1-3 years of experience in construction, civil engineering, or related field preferred (internship or field experience accepted)

Familiarity with reading civil construction plans and performing basic measurements

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Excellent communication and time management skills

Motivated to learn and grow in the construction estimating field

Preferred

Experience with takeoff or design software (Agtek, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, HCSS, or similar) is a plus

Associate degree or coursework in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience considered
