Atlas Search is a leading global private investment firm seeking an experienced Management Company Controller to oversee the financial operations of its management company. This role involves broad ownership across accounting, reporting, controls, and strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the management company, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financials
Oversee accounting for:
Management fees
Carried interest allocations
Partner compensation and benefits
Intercompany allocations and shared expenses
Prepare and review internal financial reporting for senior leadership and partners
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Partner closely with HR, Legal, Tax, and Operations on compensation structures, incentive plans, and partner economics
Maintain and enhance accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation
Manage and develop a high-performing accounting team
Serve as a thought partner to the CFO and senior finance leadership
Drive process improvements, automation, and scalability as the platform continues to grow

Qualification

Required

12+ years of progressive accounting experience
CPA required (or equivalent)

Preferred

Prior experience within private equity, alternative asset management, or investment management strongly preferred
Big Four or top-tier public accounting background a plus
Deep experience with management company accounting in a partnership-based environment
