Responsibilities

Provide entry-level professional support services in compensation as appropriate to the day-to-day operating objectives of the department
Use acquired knowledge and skills to carry out and complete project activities
Assist in the auditing of Payroll System totals in comparison to the General Ledger Accounting System
Assist in regular month-end payroll activities and preparation of payment requests
Provide assistance to the department for the compensation processes of merit, bonus and equity awards
Assist In Preparing And Updating Job Descriptions
Maintain knowledge and ensure the protection of hardware/software system security policies, practices and requirements
Assist with on-demand tasks and serve on project teams as required
Know and follow policies and procedures of the company, share information that would benefit other members of the team and find ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers
Strive to continually strengthen PCA’s business philosophy of meeting needs and exceeding expectation for customers specifically supporting PCA’s Commitment to Service which involves doing what’s right for our customers, focusing on strategies that add value and support growth, and keeping the promises that we make

Required

Must be currently enrolled and working towards a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, management information systems, finance/accounting or related field having completed freshman year or will have completed the freshman year when co-op begins
Broad understanding of business principles, theories, concepts and practices
Must be in good standing with the University with a minimum grade-point average of 3.0/4.0
Experience using Microsoft Office Suites particularly Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word
Successful completion of drug screen required and authorization to work in the U.S

Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to multiple audiences and purposes

Experience Using Microsoft Access Would Be Preferred
Basic understanding of relational databases and human resources management systems is preferred
Previous experience working in a team environment preferred, or a strong understand of the importance of open communication and information sharing among coworkers
