Responsibilities
Support the design, integration, and qualification of advanced inertial navigation and sensing solutions
Perform calibration and numerical evaluation of inertial sensors and systems to ensure performance accuracy
Analyze sensor and system performance data, including Root Allan Variance (RAV) assessments
Participate in trade studies, root cause and failure mode analyses (FMEA, RCCA), and continuous improvement initiatives
Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders
Contribute to design and review sessions (SRR, PDR, TRR, CDR, FCA/PCA, TIMs)
Support requirement analysis, feasibility evaluations, and development of technical solutions for customer needs
Develop system engineering documents including Interface Control Documents, Requirement Specifications, Test Plans, and Verification Reports
Execute simulations, define and conduct test procedures, analyze results, and assess compliance with technical standards
Support proposal development efforts through technical input and Basis of Estimate (BOE) preparation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific field such as Physics
2+ years of experience working with inertial instruments or sensors
3+ years of professional engineering experience, or 2+ years with an advanced degree
Eligibility to obtain a security clearance
Proficiency with Matlab, Creo, SolidWorks, and MathCAD
Strong analytical background in numerical data analysis, regression, and curve fitting
Experience with test system integration and qualification procedures for high-precision inertial systems
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in complex, fast-paced environments
Preferred
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies; Black Belt training is a plus
