Spencer Ogden is recruiting an experienced Senior Authorised Person (66kV) to support a major offshore wind project. The role focuses on the control, switching, isolation, commissioning, and energisation of 66kV electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules.

Responsibilities

Act as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) in control of works

Perform and facilitate HV/LV switching, isolations, LOTO, and energisation

Act as SAP prior to, during, and post 240-hour testing

Facilitate HV array cable testing

Issue, control, and approve electrical safety documentation

Act as 66kV SAP on OSS platforms as required

Witness critical installation activities, including cable terminations

Support WTG maintenance activities and perform switching

Ensure compliance with Project Electrical Safety Rules

Lead and promote a strong electrical safety culture across OSS and WTG scopes

Review and approve RAMS, switching schedules, and safety documentation

Coordinate with HV Control, O&M teams, and contractors

Ensure effective handover between shifts

Participate in audits, inspections, and walk-downs

Report progress of offshore works to the Project Control Room

Deliver training and mentoring for Authorised and Competent Persons

Participate in project authorisation processes

Execute works safely, on time, and with minimal delays

Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and lessons learned
