Site Civil Practice Manager
The Wooten Company is a multi-disciplinary firm based in Columbia, SC, dedicated to providing engineering, geomatics, and architectural services. They are seeking a Site Civil Practice Manager to lead their Civil Site Team, manage business development, and oversee site development projects for both municipal and private clients.

Responsibilities
Formulate and oversee business development, marketing, and strategic planning for the practice in the regional office
Take an active role in the preparation of proposals including development of work, schedules, fees, and overall content
Supervise, monitor, and maintain effective client liaisons and relationships; serve as the primary client contact for site civil clients in South Carolina
Routinely network in the community/ South Carolina to improve the presence and reputation in the region and company
Proactively engage in the development of new business, with a focus on existing clients
Serve as Senior Project Manager with the ability to set and track budgets and schedules, conduct project meetings, monitor and pursue accounts receivables, and prepare project invoicing
Direct and provide technical assistance and oversight on the following: Preliminary Engineering Due Diligence, Research Federal, State and Local Government Agencies as Required for Land Development Projects, Develop Conceptual Plans Based on Research and Client Requests, Generate necessary engineering design computations to support the design, Prepare Construction Plans required for the project, Prepare Site, Utility, Grading/Drainage, Stormwater Management, Erosion Control, and Roadway Designs per the Local Authorizing Agency, Compile Project Manual Which Includes Contract Documents and Technical Specifications, Development of Project Cost Opinions, Prepare and Obtain Necessary Permits, Coordinate with Other Disciplines as Required, Assist with the Project Advertisement, Bidding, and Contracting, Communicate with Clients and Other Project Stakeholders, including attending and Participating in Project Meetings, Direct and supervise staff activities within the practice include hires, terminations, mentorship, performance reviews and conflict resolution, Overseeing the daily operations of the office may be necessary, including office purchases, parking information, etc
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a consulting engineering environment
SC Licensed Professional Engineer
Minimum 3 years of project management experience
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (O365) applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Knowledge of AutoCAD – Civil 3D
Preferred
Previous supervisory and management experience
