Programmer Trainee
MDC Research is looking for a Programmer Trainee to assist in converting client-provided questionnaires into CATI and Web programs. The role involves testing programming work, communicating with operations staff, and ensuring data output is accurate and error-free.

Responsibilities
Convert client-provided questionnaires of varying complexity into CATI and Web programs ready for fielding
Thoroughly test the work of other programmers for effectiveness and accuracy
Communicate regularly with the Operations staff regarding the timeliness of delivery of programmed CATI and Web questionnaires
Follow client instructions meticulously and diligently to ensure their data output is free of errors and defects
Understand and interpret quotas documents and set up CATI and Web projects with accurate quotas in place
Prepare accurate data output files and tables for clients in SPSS, Wincross and Excel on strict timelines
Assist in completing basic strategic departmental goals
Produce a quality project from start to finish and adhere to timelines and expectations set forward from the client and MDC Research
Maintain integrity of clients’ data
Maintain the security and confidentiality of all personally identifiable information provided to us by clients or their representatives
Edit and run software scripts
Communicate with clients, and other segments of the company with the utmost respect, professionalism, and courtesy
Maintain attendance according to the Policies and Procedures manual of MDC Research
Maintains a safe, healthy, and respectful work environment
Maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Qualification
Required
Must complete and pass a background check
Two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret questionnaire instructions and clarify ambiguous logic with clients and Project Managers
Ability to perform basic functions of office software (Outlook, Word, Teams) and some intermediate to advanced Excel functions
Ability to work with basic to advanced mathematical concepts and survey logic
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Maintain attendance according to the Policies and Procedures manual of MDC Research
Maintains a safe, healthy, and respectful work environment
Maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Preferred
Experience with html, CSS, and JavaScript
Related experience and/or training: 2 years
